Ashley Elkarout

Registered Veterinary Technician

I have a Bachelor of Science with a major in Animal Biology from the University of Guelph as well as a Veterinary Technician diploma from Seneca College. I started by completing my college placement with the amazing team at North Hill and was happy to officially join the clinic after graduating in 2021. The emphasis North Hill Animal Hospital places on ensuring the animals have a positive experience and how much they care for their clients and patients is what made me eager to become part of the team.

I have always had a passion for animals and their well-being which is what attracted me to becoming a veterinary technician. My main areas of interest include behaviour, surgery/anesthesia, and creating a positive fear-free experience for our patients! What I love most about my job is that I get to be around animals all day, everyday is different and the learning never stops.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, being outdoors, watching tv/movies and spending time with my goldendoodle, Cody!
