Why is it important to ensure my dog is microchipped?

Microchipping is a safe and easy way to ensure your pet can be returned to you if it ever gets loose. Shelters, humane societies and veterinarians, can easily scan a pet with a small “wand,” to see if it has a microchip. The number that is associated with that microchip is then linked back to you with your contact information so that your pet can be reunited with you as quickly as possible.

How it works a microchip work and is it safe?

Microchips are a small implant that is injected using a needle just under the skin, between the shoulder blades. Microchips are very safe and will not come loose like a tag or a collar.
